Books + Shows

Here's how I entertain myself.

Books

- Unwind
Your typical YA read: it's set in the future, there's an awkward teenage romance... but the heart of the book deals with the pro-choice/pro-life argument. If you liked The Hunger Games, Divergent, or The Maze Runner, you'll probably enjoy this too.

- Hyperbole and a Half
It's not too often that I actually laugh out loud while reading a book, but I can't help myself with this one. The illustrations are absolutely hysterical! I would highly recommend this book if you have a weird sense of humor and need a good laugh.

Shows

- The Killing
I'll admit, it took me awhile to get invested in this show, but eventually I did. It doesn't hurt that it takes place in Seattle. The main character is a homicide detective - I like that the show doesn't try to solve a different crime every 60 minutes. Not my favorite show ever, but I have been enjoying it!

Scandal
I love Olivia Pope! She reminds me of my beautiful friend, Seetha. It's fast-paced with lots of plot twists. This show will keep you on the edge of your seat and will probably make you go "WHAT?!?!" during the last ten seconds of the episode. At least that's what I do!
