Take Your Anna to Work Day

Hello friends!

This is by far my busiest time of the year at Job #1, and I am doing my best to keep my nose above water. Anna was a HUGE help by coming into the office not one, but TWO days last week to give me a hand. What an amazing friend!!! Here are scenes of Anna hard at work...

And now for a really quick update on what else has been going on... the weekend was spent playing scrabble, going to see Run All Night (which I enjoyed but more because of the actors than the story-line), cleaning out my craft/office supplies at home, shopping for new pants, and starting the TV series House of Cards. Plus my typical Saturday shift at Job #2. All in all a good weekend, although I wasn't feeling 100% well, so that was somewhat of a downer.

Ok, back to work. I have way too much to do.

And the feast goes on...

I am pretty sure I've gained 100 pounds since my birthday.

I was responsible for 'breakfast club" on Friday. I had a fun time making my breakfast spread colorful - even though we're still covered in snow, I thought it would be nice to pretend like it was time for Spring.

On Saturday night, Anna had us over for a little birthday celebration. She made the most delicious lemon cookies and funfetti dip.

And she had presents for me, including a present from Precious Poco Gurl (one of her kitty cats). Anna is such an amazing friend!!!

After sleeping in really late (partly because of the time change), Andy and I went to James Brown's Diner for breakfast on Sunday. We each ordered a "heap." It was goooooood.

So it's been a lot of fun, but now I'm feeling bloated and gross. Time to give up on the "it's my birthday" excuse and get back to being at least a little healthier. When I think about what makes me feel energized/motivated, a few musts come to mind. I must...

- make a list
- have a clean space
- take care of myself in the beauty department.

And so... I have made a list, I have cleaned my office, car, and most of the house, and I have painted my nails.

The beauty department has actually gotten a boost over the last few weeks. Much to my surprise, my mom signed me up for Glossy Box as a Valentine's Day present. Now once a month, I will receive a box full of fun girly products.

I have used every single thing in last month's Glossy Box (except the nail polish, which I will use when I am a little less pale). The Rituals Yogi Flow shower gel is my favorite, with the blush a close second. It's been really fun to use all the products, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what this month's box will have. If you are interested in signing up, let me know! You get perks when you refer people (a lot like Stitch Fix).

That's about it for now. Hope you all have a good (warmer) week!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Thank you all for the kind wishes on my birthday yesterday! I had a very nice dinner in Buffalo last Sunday to celebrate with Andy's family, my own parents treated me to an iPhone 6 (!!!!!!), Sheena surprised me with flowers delivered to work, and Andy got me a gift card - the real gift there is a shopping trip in my future, lol.

People at both Job #1 and #2 were amazing, showering me with little gifts and enough treats to feed a small sugar-crazed army. Andy Pepin also made lunch for a group of us at Job #1, so I had a special birthday lunch as well!

Here are all of the pictures....

Thank you Mom, Dad, Andy, Brown Family, Sheena, Lani, Kara, Laura, Kristin, Diane, Irene, Nancy, Mark, and Eileen! You all made me feel very special. :-)
